T&E is the process by which a system or components are compared against requirements and specifications through testing. The results are evaluated to assess progress of design, performance, supportability, etc. Developmental test and evaluation is an engineering tool used to reduce risk throughout the defense acquisition cycle. Operational test and evaluation is the actual or simulated employment, by typical users, of a system under realistic operational conditions.

Project Detail

The Constant Hawk (CH) aircraft provides an airborne sensor/ground analysis capability in order to collect surveillance imagery from fixed wing aircraft, store and process the imagery onboard the aircraft in real-time, downlink imagery of interest, and download imagery after landing for additional ground processing. Analysts within the ground processing complex conduct appropriate imagery analysis and provide products to operational forces.
